We’re an independent family-owned chartered surveying company that’s been acting in the best interests of residential London home buyers since 2005.

Being a relatively small team of chartered surveyors, structural engineers, party wall surveyors, town planners, consultants and technical experts – compared to some of our national counterparts – we can be flexible in the services we offer, and can respond to any specific concerns and requirements.

We’re registered with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and meet the high standards for technical expertise, clear pricing, customer protection and honest service that they demand.

Our services have been used by varied Clients such as banks, solicitors, private and commercial clients, housing associations, investors and private individuals. We have worked for Lloyds TSB, HSBC, Notting Hill Housing Group, Amicus Horizon, Genesis Housing Association and Hyde Housing.

Barnes & Barnes was previously known as Haywater Surveyors. We rebranded the company in 2015.
