Following a busy year for the team, the BDC was delighted to receive the award for Best UK Venue at the EN Awards 2024!
The Business Design Centre (BDC) has been recognised for it’s collective efforts over the past year, at the annual Exhibition News Awards. The awards celebrate organisers, venues, suppliers and people from across the exhibition world at a night that is widely regarded as ‘The Oscars’ of the global exhibition industry.
Having won Best Venue Under 8,000sqm in 2023, the venue was this year shortlisted in three categories, including those for ESG and DEI initiatives, and took home the new for 2024, Best UK Venue Award.
The entry covered the many longstanding events and team members that call the venue home, as well as the company’s achievements in relation to becoming B Corp Certified alongside it’s wider sustainability and diversity and inclusion targets. The judges commented;
“Congratulations on a great year whether it’s the progress on ESG and DEI or the revenue growth you have seen attracting an impressive range of customers that rate you at a very high level which is rare to see across all the areas.”
The win, announced at the ceremony on Thursday 28th March at Westminster Park Plaza, was celebrated by the team in attendance (pictured) and was returned back to the venue to the wider business who were delighted to be recognised by peers from across the industry at a national level. BDC CEO, Dominic Jones explains;
“Our team work extremely closely with our clients to support the success and growth of the events held at the BDC, so to have shared an account of our journey over the last twelve months and to have been awarded this ultimate accolade is testament to all our people from across the business. Being recognised as the Best Venue in the UK is an incredible accolade for the entire company and something that we will long celebrate.”
The BDC was also proud to sponsor the awards this year, giving away the trophy for Best Trade Show under 2000sqm, to worthy winners, PAY 360. BDC Marketing & Communications Director presented the award to The Payments Association;
“It’s fantastic to sponsor the awards this year and to play a bigger part in celebrating what an incredible industry we are. The team at Mash Media threw a fantastic night, which seems to get better and more interesting each year. Taking home the award for Best UK Venue was truly the icing on the cake.”
