Venue Sales Manager, Charlotte Barker has been at the BDC since 2015, and leads the conference team:
“The conference department at the venue is small but mighty, working hard to ensure they deliver the best for our clients. I’m really proud to see them recognised for both their commitment to excellence in their approach as well as being key to delivering on our sustainability commitments. Taking home these awards was the icing on the cake, of what was a wonderful afternoon with our clients and events industry friends.”
Conference Executive, Elena Hornsby-Hallett has been with the BDC for over three years;
“It’s been a really busy year at the venue and particularly for our team. I worked alongside colleagues in creating our first Sustainability Guide for Events following our B Corp Certification last year, so to be recognised with an award for the work we have done in supporting our clients to become more sustainable was truly incredible.”
Samantha Corker, has been with us for over four years now and also holds the position of Conference Executive;
“Not only was it a fantastic afternoon seeing some of our clients claim awards of their own, but it was so rewarding to be able to take to the stage ourselves as winners. We spent the awards ceremony with people we are lucky to call both customers and friends and it’s this relationship we have built that makes working at the BDC so special.”
Kirsty Jakulis recently graduated from Event Management and Marketing at the University of Hertfordshire and is now a full time member of the team, joining the BDC as Conference Coordinator;
“Having worked in this team for over a year now, it was great to attend the Conference and Events Awards again and a truly memorable moment to go up on stage for the first time as an award winner. Celebrating with my team acknowledges the hard work that we have put in over the past year, especially when it comes to sustainability initiatives.”
