Spring is an exciting time at the BDC – we’ve got lots of great events lined up over the next few weeks, and we’re looking forward to each and every one of them. We’ve put together a quick rundown of some recent events, and some of the ones that are coming up, so you can join in on the excitement.

The Stitch Festival

Recently, we had The Stitch Festival, which is the premier event in London for sewing, stitch, and contemporary dressmaking. The show allows access to independent small brands and businesses, as well as displays from leading designers, demos, workshops, and Q&A’s from your favourite celebrity sewers. The Stitch Festival particularly celebrates dressmaking, but if you have any interest in crochet, knitting, embroidery, or cross stitch, there’s sure to be something to inspire you.

Cosmetic Executive Women

CEW is a professional organisation that promotes the British beauty industry, driving its dynamic growth in the global beauty economy. Their member network spans exciting different brands, entrepreneurs, retailers, market research agencies, journalists, and influencers.

Their event at the BDC on Wednesday 29th March, exclusively for members, is for visiting brand experts and their stands and talking to them about their products, as well as connecting with other beauty industry executives. There will also be highly coveted product test bags available to take home and you can vote for your favourite products!

It’s one of the most highly anticipated events in the beauty industry calendar, and we’re very excited to have them here.

Economist Impact Sustainability Week

The BDC is excited to welcome the eighth edition of the annual Sustainability Week to the BDC. With a jam-packed agenda on the 29th and 31st March, it’s not one to miss. Over 180 high profile speakers, and over 1000 visitors have registered already.

Attending the event will grant you access to all of the in-person panel sessions and presentations, private networking roundtables, as well as other networking breaks and opportunities. Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day, and there will also be an exclusive evening drinks reception after the event.

As if all of that weren’t appealing enough, your ticket also grants you access to the virtual event on Wednesday 29th, which includes a keynote address from António Guterres, secretary-general of the United Nations. Buy your tickets here

UK Cyber Week – Expo & Conference 2023

Business and thought leaders in the cyber community come together on the 4th and 5th April, to host UK Cyber Week at the BDC. With a programme specifically designed to address the real issues affecting you day-to-day, there are no filler sessions. Instead, attendees will be treated to conferences, panels, and speakers who are all experts within their field.

The UK Cyber Week agenda also offers networking opportunities throughout the conference, as well as meet ups, demos, book signings, and of course, the long awaited Cyber House Party. This starts with a bang on the 4th April, starting off with a comedy set, followed by DJ’s and dancing late into the night.

The Brain Tumour Charity Art Exhibition Time

The Time Exhibition, hosted by The Brain Tumour Charity, is an affordable exhibition that aims to capture what it means to be part of the brain tumour community. This exhibition will feature photographs, scans, sculptures, paintings, and illustrations, all submitted by the community to tell the stories of those affected by a brain tumour. Also featured will be artwork from artists around the globe – all to help raise awareness.

Time will be open to the public between the 6th and 15th April to help everyone understand the journey taken by patients, loved ones, medical professionals, and researchers when they’re living with or supporting someone with a diagnosis. As part of the event, there will also be a silent auction.

If you’re interested in attending, you can visit the website, and reserve a ticket here.
