The closest step-free station is King’s Cross St Pancras, which is on the Overground, Thameslink, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan Line, Northern Line, Piccadilly Line and Victoria Line.
The closest station to the BDC is Angel, which is on the Northern Line. However, please note this is not a step free station.
Highbury & Islington is also on the Victoria Line and Overground Line. However, please note this is not currently a step free station.
If you arrive by car, we have 8 dedicated parking spaces for blue badge holders in our on-site car park. There is a passenger lift to street level or the BDC forecourt, or you can take the 17-step pedestrian staircase.
The route from the car park to the building is well-lit and clearly marked. The surface is firm.
There are two staircases between Upper Street and the building (5 and 12 steps respectively, all with handrails). We also have a ramp on the forecourt.

All our reception desks are fitted with accessible registration points for people with additional accessibility needs.
All floors of the venue are accessible via passenger lifts with low-reach buttons, braille, black mirrors and distress alarms. Every staircase in the BDC has handrails and all publicly accessible areas are well lit. We are happy to accommodate people in wheelchairs in any of our conference space, just ask any of the team if you need directions .

We have an accessible toilet on each level of the venue. Restrooms are accessible with a RADAR key (we have a spare in reception). Each toilet has low-reach door handles and an emergency pull cord alarm.

Mental health and well-being at the BDC is very important and we want all visitors to the venue to feel welcome, safe and comfortable when attending an event here.
We look after our employees through a range of methods and it’s just as important to us that we look after those us visiting to.
The majority of our employees are mental health first aiders to offer support to anyone who requires it during one of our events, so please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff if you or anyone in your party need support.

In the unlikely event of a fire or other emergency, the fire alarms will activate. Our fire alarms give audio and visual signals to help visitors evacuate the building. The venue fire marshals will also assist you as you leave. There are two Evac chairs on-site to assist people in wheelchairs to reach the ground floor in the event of a fire.
There are emergency red phones on each floor of the venue, at the entrance to every stairwell, for visitors to contact reception in the event of an emergency.
